Boy killed, 2 women injured in Diwali cracker explosion in India

NEW DELHI, Oct. 17 -- One boy was killed and two of his family members seriously injured when their house collapsed due to crackers explosion Saturday in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, the Press Trust of India reported.
The incident took place at Kaushalpuri area of Kanpur district. The deceased was 15-year-old Molu, while his mother Pushpadevi and another woman are in serious condition, said the report.
Further investigation is being made by police in the accident, said the report.
India Saturday celebrated the Hindu festival of lights or Diwali, where fire crackers and fire works were used across the country.
